Peshawer Attack

Seven people were killed and 43 other were wounded in the town of badhaber south of the city of peshawer
the town of badhaber souty of peshawar was targeted in a predawn bombing. the explosion took place after the pakistani police open fire at a car.the driver,was approaching a security checkpoint,detonated the car,killing several people and injuring several others.in addition the blast caused massive property damage in the area.
the blast destroyed the mosque,four houses,several shops and parts of the police station nearby degree college and desrupted power supply to some areas.
official said personnel of the police station had been receiving threats from militants for some time.
The badhaber suicide bombing is the fifth of its kind,targeting the city of Peshawar in the 8 days.The attacks have caused concerned over the targeting the city of Peshawar.the capability of armed groups have reduced due to the military operation in Waziristan.
NWFP information minister Mian Iftihar Hussain told reporters at Lady reading hospital(LRH)that the attack was in retaliation for the military operation in Taliban areas.
He reiterated the government's resolve never to bow to terrorists.He said the attacker's attempt to take the vehicle into the city had been failed.
Peshawar SSP(operation) Muhammad Karim Khan said the Police station was the likely target of the bomber,but FC personnel had failed his attempt by firing at the vehicle.
According to DSP Khurshid Khan all the deceased were civilians.Two Policeman and two frontier pesonnel suffered minor injuries.
Among the injured 8 were school students.A bomd disposal official said that about 250Kgs of explosive mixes with artillery shells had been used in the blasts which left a 5 foot deep and 10 foot wide crater.
